FALL FUN DAYS

Do you need a safe fun place for your child to go during the school's Fall Recess Days? SVUSD is off on Thursday, September 16th and CUSD is off on Thursday & Friday, September 16th & 17th. This exciting and safe day camp is provided by CampCo and includes crafts, games, swimming, water play and more!

WEST COAST SWING WORKSHOP AT THE LAKE

This is the perfect one night class for you - come out and learn the steps, show-off the steps you know, or just enjoy the company while you dance under the stars by the lake! Afterwards, enjoy fine Italian cuisine at Gentile's on the Lake. Each class participant will receive a complimentary coupon for buy one, get half off second dinner, good for Saturday night after the dance workshop.

FALL ROLLER HOCKEY LEAGUE

This league stresses fun and participation, including minimum play requirements. Sportsmanship awards are given. Participants must provide: skates, hockey stick, full face cage helmet, mouthpiece, elbow, knee and shin guards, gloves and protective cup and supporter for male participants. Game jersey is provided in the fee.

Start Date: Saturday, September 25 (Evaluation Day)
Games begin October 9. No games November 27.

Public Skating All Ages
Tuesdays 5-9 p.m., Thursdays 5-7 p.m.

Youth Stick Time & Pick Up Games Ages 15 and Under
Wednesdays 5-9 p.m., Sundays 4-6 p.m.

Adult Pick-Up Games Ages 16 and Older
Thursdays 7-9 p.m., Sundays 6-9 p.m.

Requirements: Hockey helmet with full-face cage, hockey gloves, elbow pads, shin guards, skates and a stick required by all hockey players. Recreational skaters must wear a helmet, elbow pads, kneepads and wrist guards. Skaters must have current waiver on file to participate. Waivers available at the rink

FALL SEASON SPORTS
As the summer sports field refurbishments near completion, over 5,000 girls and boys get ready for start of the 2004 fall youth sports season. Santa Margarita Pop Warner Football is now practicing at Solana Park. Rancho Trabuco Girls Softball has started practicing at Vista Verde the first weekend of August. Your City Little League and Tijeras Creek Little League youth baseball, and the largest group - AYSO-630 youth soccer, will be starting their fall programs on Saturday, August 14. These groups, made up of kids 5 to 13 years old, will be playing on 31 fields at 8 SAMLARC community parks.



SUMMER REFURBISHMENT ON SAMLARC SPORTS FIELDS

In order to perform summer refurbishment on SAMLARC sports fields, the following SAMLARC park ball diamonds will be closed for the periods shown below. Please observe the "FIELDS CLOSED" signs during this period.

Altisima - fields 1 and 2
July 19 - August 13

Arroyo Vista - fields 1 and 2
July 19 - August 13

Canada Vista field 1 and 2
July 19 - August 13

Solana - field 1 and 2
July 26 - August 13

Trabuco Mesa - fields 1-4
July 26 - August 13

Closures will be for a minimum of one (1) week, but not longer than August 13.


PARKS AND PICNIC RESERVATIONS NOW AVAILABLE!!!

Celebrate your birthdays, graduations and family gatherings at SAMLARC Parks! You can reserve a covered picnic area in advance to ensure you have the space you want. Reservations are available at six parks ~ Altisima, Arroyo Vista, Mesa Linda, Solana, Tijeras Creek and Trabuco Mesa ~ and are given on a first come-first serve basis. Requests can be made one week to six months prior to your event and are for non-holiday weekends only. If you are planning on incorporating a Jump House as part of your celebration, please note that these are permitted only at Altisima, Central, Mesa Linda and Trabuco Mesa parks.
